Werner David Feist

Feist studied at the Bauhaus Dessau with Albers, Klee, Kandinsky and Schmidt. He signed up for the newly established photography workshop and became Peterhans’ assistant. He exhibited at the FiFo (Film und Foto) and worked as a graphic designer and photographer in Prague. He fled Nazi Germany and worked in the UK for a publishing company. In 1951 he left for Canada, where he worked as an art director and design history teacher.
