Georgia (1903—1969)

Born in Georgia and raised in Baku, Telingater was one of the founding members of the October Group in 1928. He studied at the VKhUTEMAS in Moscow in 1920-1921. There he absorbed the principles of Constructivism and Futurism and applied them in his own design style. He illustrated Blok’s poem The Twelve and collaborated with USSR in construction, writing Sovremennaya arkhitektura (Modern architecture) between 1926 and 1930. In 1934 he published with Ilya Feinberg The year 1914: A documentary pamphlet, one of the best examples of Constructivist design.
